Quilts For Pulse- Giving Quilts Organized by Matt

After the horrific mass shooting in Orlando on June 12, the Orlando MQG put out a call for heart quilts and quilt blocks  to share some love with the survivors and the families of the victims. Guilds were encouraged to send finished quilts, and Matt Macomber stepped up to organize the making of several heart quilts on behalf of Seattle MQG.

The original plan Matt presented was to make enough blocks to send 2-3 finished quilts. Guild members were asked to use bright fabrics and this tutorial for their blocks. Well, thanks to all of you, we were able to send SEVEN quilts! Thanks to everyone who made blocks, put quilt tops together, quilted and bound, and especially to Matt for organizing the entire effort. #quiltsforpulse
