It was another small group at the sew-in last Saturday, but another productive one. Some of us were working on a deadline – including me – for the SMQG Exhibition coming up. And there were others there for the first time: Welcome Michelle and Rebecca! We had a wonderful time chatting and sewing and getting to know some new members.
Here are a few pictures:
Collette’s beautiful hand stitching. It’s hard to see behind all of the basting but there are perfect little orange peels in that baby quilt.
Sue’s quilt for her dad’s birthday – only the binding to go!
My quilt that I was feverishly quilting in attempt to finish in time for the SMQG Exhibition. (I got it finished just in time!)
Ara Jane’s GORGEOUS Arkansas Traveler quilt. I can’t wait to see it finished. We are still looking for an alternative meeting place. Please keep looking and email any ideas to seattlemodernquiltguild at gmail dot com.
We’ll post an updated schedule as soon as we have it finalized.
Happy Summer Sewing!
I sure enjoyed the sew in and look forward to others and getting to know other members. Everyone was very welcoming and I am grateful for that 😉
