The Pacific Northwest Modern Quilt Guild Meet-up was quite a success – what a weekend! It was full, hot, tiring, and all around good times with everyone from the Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver guilds.
We had a great time sewing quilts tops for charity. We made quilts using the Modern Cross blocks from Susan Beal’s Modern Log Cabin Quilting and the stitch and flip technique from Katie Pedersen’s Quilting Modern.
Everyone getting started.
Working hard but having fun!
The big payoff!
There are more fabulous photos at the meet-up flickr site with everyone’s photos. Be sure to check them out or add your own!
Saturday sewing was followed by a fabulous day of shopping. I was too busy to take any decent photos!
Thank you to everyone who organized and participated – a lot of work went into planning the event. It was a wonderful way to meet so many creative, inspiring, and nice people all in one place! We’re already thinking about meeting again!
We would like to thank our sew-in hosts, Anja and Paul (and the rest of the wonderful staff) at Island Quilter, who provided a beautiful space (and a great lunch!) for us to sew.
We would also like to thank our shop-hop hosts: West Seattle Fabric Company, Drygoods Design, and Okan Arts Shop.
And a very special thanks to all of our sponsors who helped make this event possible:
