As you may know we have been discussing formalizing our guild for some time. We have grown from a handful of us at our first meeting at Mosaic coffee shop to dozens of us sewing, collaborating, inspiring, and just having fun together. Now is that time where we need to come together and discuss the future of the guild.

We will be holding a general meeting of all members of the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild. Here are the details:

Saturday, October 6, 2012. 10 am – 11.30 am (The sew-in will be immediately following the meeting.)

If you’ve signed up on Shutterfly, you’re invited. If you’ve never been to a meeting, but want to be involved, you’re invited. This is a free and open meeting to discuss where we’re heading together.

So where are we headed? Here are a few things that we need to discuss:

• Dues
• Committees: executive board, membership, planning, events, social media, etc.
• Sew-ins
