New Sew-in Dates for October and November

Two sew-in dates have been added to the calendar! (Thanks, Sue!)

  • Friday, 19 October from 6.30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday, 30 November from 6.30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Both sew-ins will be held at:

Woodland Park Presbyterian Church, 225 N. 70th St. Seattle, WA 98103 (map)

Just a bit of info for first-time attendees: (Thanks, Sandie!)

Woodland Park Presbyterian Church is a great venue located right on Greenwood Ave N. Parking is free and on-street (residential).

The space we use is large, but available tables and power limit us to 16-20 machines (you can bring handwork or cutting projects just in case). We have some lightweight extension cords and power strips, but heavy duty cords are welcome. We have an ironing board, (and can make room for a 2nd if anyone wants to bring one), but we’ll need the iron (or two). **If you can bring an iron and/or board, please respond on the group homepage on the shutterfly site (scroll down to the “sign-up sheet” on the lower right and select the “sign up” link for this event.**

We start at 6:30, and wrap things up around 10pm, but if you can only come for part of the evening that’s okay, too. There is usually some set-up/clean-up to do, but many hands make it go quickly.

We don’t have a schedule or agenda for sew-ins, but do bring a project to share with the group. We love to be inspired!

Bring a small snack to share if you wish. We normally have WAY more than we need ~ and PLEASE take any leftovers home. We have kitchen access for hot water for tea (or instant coffee if you bring it).

Also, if anyone wants to bring a camera and take pictures for the blog, that would be appreciated 🙂

Feel free to email with any questions. Hope to see you there!
