Valentine’s day is just a few short days after our next meeting on February 11 so we will be having a postcard Valentine swap. If you want to participate please bring up to three handmade fabric postcard Valentine’s to the next guild meeting for a blind swap.
Postcard size means these are small, fun, and quick to make. The standard size postcard is 4×6 but anything from 3×5 to 5×8 is acceptable. We also need them to be somewhat stiff in case anyone wants to mail their new Valentine. Dense quilting or use of a thin stabilizer is suggested. Don’t be afraid to think outside the Valentine box and be creative because their small size is a perfect opportunity to try something new. And, don’t forget to post some sneak peaks! #seamqgswap
Thanks, Amber! This looks like so much fun!
I’m in! I have a few I received from sewing friends in England, Scotland and Ireland and I LOVE seeing them on the bulletin board next to where I sit to sew. It makes me feel connected with other creative sewists. And, it can be a small chance to practice FMQ 😉
