We are swapping quilt blocks with the London Modern Quilt Guild. Our own Jackie Benedetti has set up this fantastic opportunity to have an exchange with our neighbors “across the pond”. If you wish to participate and swap a quilt block with a fellow modern quilter then please sign up at the May meeting (or contact Jackie or Amber). We are limiting the number of participants since the London guild has fewer members.
The theme for this swap is red and white (no cream, no burgundy, no pink – strictly red and white). Prints are welcome but the fabrics needs to read as red or white. Blocks should be 12 1/2 inches unfinished and any modern quilt design is welcome.
Completed blocks will be turned in at the September guild meeting. All Seattle blocks will be mailed together to London.
Hi all.
Last night at the meeting we had sign-ups for this swap. Because the London MQG is much smaller than us, we need to limit participation. We currently have a few spots left. If you are interested, please email me – jackie.benedetti@gmail.com. Depending on interest, I may need to verify with London that they can handle the number. I’ll confirm with you whether you should begin planning your block!
For those who signed up at the meeting, you are ‘in’, and can get started.
Jackie
Jackie, I got my block done for London. Such fun! Kae
