November Happenings

Our Princess of Diamonds arranged a few blocks for our 2016 QuiltCon Charity Challenge quilt

Our “Princess of Diamonds” (it was Halloween!) arranges blocks for our 2016 QuiltCon Charity Challenge quilt at last Saturday’s Sew-In

There is lots going on in Seattle MQG land in November. Mark these events in your calendar:

November 8 – Sew-in at Circa 15 Fabric Studio in Kirkland. Due to limited space, members must sign up on the thread on our MQG Community Site (login required)

November 11 – Annual meeting with 2016 board elections at the Greenwood Senior Center in Seattle. 2016 membership renewals will be accepted with cash or check (save $2 PayPal fees!) at the meeting. Renew early and keep your membership current for workshops and events. Diamond blocks for our QuiltCon Charity Challenge quilt are also due (follow the conversation and get the latest color needs here). Happy Veterans Day to all those who serve or have served our country

November 12 – Happy hour sew-in at Quiltworks Northwest in Bellevue

November 26 – Happy Thanksgiving!

November 30QuiltConWest entries due by 10:00 Pacific Time

Looking forward to December, we are not having our regular 2nd Wednesday meeting. Instead, we are celebrating the season at our Holiday Party on December 12 at the Greenwood Senior Center. Lots of fun and games, a swap, and sewing is on tap. Sign ups for needed items will be at the November meeting.

Your Vice-President of Membership is carting around plenty of 2015 membership cards and new member packets. What? You don’t have yours? Drop an email to and yours will be sent to you in exchange for a SASE. Or, pick them up at the November meeting or December party.

Lots of collaborative improvisation at last Sunday's Giving Committee Sew-in, Nice job, everyone!

    • Hi, Emily! Yes, there was talk last month of meeting at The Teacher’s Lounge on Greenwood at 5:30 (or whenever). Thanks for the question – it reminded me that I hadn’t done the meeting reminder. Oops!
