As some of you may have heard, there was a natural gas explosion overnight at 85th and Greenwood, west of the Greenwood Senior Center. Kristen has been in touch with the senior center, which did not sustain any damage. The immediate area is also okay, though there are some road closures west of them. We are comfortable with their assessment, and will proceed with tonight’s scheduled meeting.
See you tonight!
Thanks for the update! Came to the blog just to see if there was anything 🙂
Here are more specifics on the road closures.
Greenwood Ave. is closed between 83rd and 87th Streets, and 85th St. is closed between 1st. Ave. and Dayton Ave.
Also bus service to the area is being rerouted, check metro’s page for more specifics on that.
More details about the road closures. This is as of 10 am this morning so they may change.

If anyone comes by bus, they are also being rerouted through the area so check metro’s page for details on that.
