It’s time for a new giving quilt plan! And this time around, there’s no need to rummage through your stash becuase our local Clothworks has generously donated beautiful American Made Brand solids for our next giving quilt.
The colors chosen are the same as the logo for Homeward Pet Adoption Center, our intended recipient for this quilt. Specifically, they are (top to bottom in photo below) dark eggplant, dark blue, brown, and white. Bundles will be available at the August meeting, with each consisting of 1/16 yard of each of the colors, and 1/8 yard of white.
Your assignment if you choose to accept it is to make as many original improv blocks as you like using the fabrics in the bundle only. You can use some or all of the colors, with blocks being in one of three sizes: 6 1/2″ square, 6 1/2″ x 12 1/2″, or 12 1/2″ square. Please return all blocks along with any fabric you don’t use to the September meeting.
We’d love to see your progress on Instagram using the hashtags #seamqggiving and #seamqg. And feel free to thank @clothworks for their #americanmadebrand fabrics! Enjoy the freedom of doing your own thing for good!
Interesting and challenging color palette. I’m in.
