Do you remember making PNW inspired tree blocks back in August of 2015?
We were honored that In the Beginning was kind enough to supply the guild with the fabric from their Modern Solids line to share with guild members for charity quilts. In the Beginning is the manufacturer of the gorgeous Modern Solids that we all know and love. They donated modern solids in a variety of PNW colors – blues, greens, greys, and browns! Perfect for improv forest blocks.
After all the blocks were made, there was such a great response that we were able to finish 3 quilts!
This first one was donated to Seattle Organization of Prostitution Survivors. Each week the orgnaization hosts an Art Workshop as part of the Survivor Services. They have workshops, have put on shows and have a holiday handmade gift sale. This art therapy program is what led Allison, who organized this whole charity quilt event, to this group as a recipient.
