Season Evans will be teaching a 2 Color Composition Workshop that will discuss how the simple design and two color scheme can create dynamic modern quilts. The goal of the class is to gain a greater understanding of useful negative space, making an impact with only two colors, and challenging the design process through thoughtful edits. The class will discuss color choices (traditional and modern), workshop compositions on the design wall, and we’ll piece a small quilt top. Using strips and the ever so versatile half square triangle, this workshop will discuss how two color quilts, which are steeped in tradition, can be made modern and with a minimalist feel.
