Sujata Shah will coming to Seattle and presenting a lecture about her Cultural Fusion Quilts book at the SeattleMQG General Meeting Wednesday, May 9th, 2018. There is no cost to attend the lecture.

Sujata will, also, be teaching a workshop on Understanding and Learning Free-Form Blocks. This class is designed to understand and construct free-form blocks of various size. Her method of cutting in layers and organic piecing in unique, fast and fun. Although individual results vary, the day is spent with learning about the origins of the blocks, stories behind the quilts and discussions of my theory of color and textures.
Free-form blocks learned may include: Rail Fence, Toran blocks, Tiger Stripes, Lattice, Half Square Triangles, Flying Geese.
