We are currently going to three different local sewing/craft stores for our machine sew-ins. All locations have ironing boards and cutting mats for our use during the sew-in. Sew-ins are the best opportunity to get to know other guild members. They also provide great learning opportunities as you can see how others do things and our members are very happy to share knowledge. Don’t have a project going right now? just come, talk, and learn sewing is optional at sew-ins.

Quiltworks Northwest in Bellevue is a fabric and bead store that recently moved to a smaller location in Bellevue. We currently post sign ups for this sew-in as it is a small space and can only accomadate a set number of people.

Quality Sew and Vacuum in Tukwila is sewing machine store that has a very large space in the back of the store for sewing. It is a great space for basting. All sew-ins at this location are held on Sundays.

Maker Mercantile in Kent is a fabric and craft store that also has an in house cafe. Due to the cafe we cannot bring outside food. They have a large space that can accomadate 20 people. There is one iron avaliable but two ironing boards if we would like to bring an extra iron. Cutting matts are also avaliable.

Optimism Brewery on Capitial Hill is a brewery where meet together to have a hand sew-in while drinking beer. The space has great natural light for sewing but if hand sewing is not your thing you are welcome to just come and socialize with other quilt lovers.

We are also trying out one outdoor sew-in at a Seattle park. The budget allows for us to rent the Greenwood Senior center for one all day Saturday sew-in that will be set up like our holiday party.
