Towards the end of last year, we started one more giving quilt, using the Berry Icy Ice Bar block from Jodie of Persimmon + Pear. For this controlled improv block, we used fabrics from stash, with an all-solid palette of magenta, medium pink, dark teal, and light to dark gray.
The blocks measured 12 1/2″, and were arranged in columns for the final layout.
It was an easy-peasy wide-back for this one.
Quilting was done by Judy White – a fun curvy motif that added a lot of movement!
The quilt finished at 48” x 60” and was donated with several other Seattle MQG giving quilts to Valley Breast Center, where they were given to women receiving cancer treatment. The manager at the center has expressed more than once how meaningful receiving one of our quilts has been to the recipients there.
