Saturday, October 5, 2019 — Release the Geese

This class is designed to provide you with patterns and techniques that you can use to design your own quilt.

• We will make circular flying geese using a basic paper piecing method. I’ll provide you with patterns for various types.
• We’ll also do some straight geese with a quick piecing, no-waste technique.
• Then we’ll look at ways to combine your straight flying geese with your circular geese. There is a lot of design potential once you have mastered these two elements!

Sunday, October 6, 2019 — New Twists on Diamond Piecing

The iconic Lone Star is the most recognized design using the diamond shape in classic and modern quilts. But the Lone Star is not the only design that is the diamond’s best friend.

• This class will offer instruction on strip piecing diamonds with strategies for matching diamond seams, maintaining uniform shape and angles, and finishing with a flat, even quilt top.
• Learn to create bold, graphic quilts with 2.5-inch strips, or strips in the size of your choosing.
• We will cover a number of design variations including changing up the angle of the diamonds and inverting the orientation of the star blades.
• Includes a table calculating quilt size by strip width and number of diamonds so you can design the diamond quilt that is right for you!

• You’ll be able to sign up for either workshop, or both, using the same link. If the workshop you want is full, be sure to add yourself to our Waitlist.
• Your PayPal receipt is your proof of having registered. So look for it right after you’ve completed your registration. If you don’t have a receipt, you may not have completed the registration process.

Refunds

• The Simple Rule:  Sorry, once you’ve signed up and paid, we won’t be offering any refunds.
• The Possible Exception:  IF you cancel on or before September 20th AND we can find a replacement from our waitlist, we’ll consider refunding your payment less $15. Please understand that there are no promises on this.
