2020 Board Elections
Elections were held at the November 6 meeting and the following slate was voted in:

- Treasurer – Liz C.
- Secretary – Rima K.
Note that the President for 2020, David Owen Hastings, was elected in 2019.
Opportunities to Get Involved in 2020
Please see a board member if you are interested in contributing to the success of our guild.
- Help us make the nomination/election process more transparent by getting involved
- Volunteer on a committee to help plan a retreat, swap, or help greet members and visitors at meetings
- Volunteer to help organize a sew-in in your neighborhood at libraries, churches, or coffee shops
2020 Membership Renewal
Membership renewal is live on the blog. Dues payment will be solely over paypal again this year.
- Please renew by December 15 to ensure a smooth transition to new membership cards.
- Dues are the same as last year at $55 plus a $2 paypal fee for a total of $57
Your dues fund rental of meeting space, learning opportunities and programming, charity quilts, deposits and future activities, quarterly sew-ins at GSC and the annual holiday party sew-in.
Giving Committee
Blocks for the Quiltcon Charity Quilt should have been “turned in” to Erica or Rachel. Excess fabric should also have been returned. If you still have yours please contact them to make arrangements for a hand-off.

Tara Faughnan will be teaching workshops on March 14 & 15, 2020 and Timna Tarr will be teaching workshops on September 12 & 13 and giving a trunk show at our September 9 guild meeting.
Holiday Party Sew-In
- Takes the Place of the December Meeting
- Saturday December 7, 2019 11:30am – 7:30pm
- Note that space for sewing machines is limited. We recommend bringing handwork.
- Annual Quilted item swap/steal will take place:
- Small quilted item or handmade sewing item
- Items do not have to be holiday themed
- Bring your item wrapped with your name somewhere inside the gift – this is a blind swap and winner of your item will want to thank you
- Numbers will be drawn to determine gift choosing order
- A gift can be stolen three times
