Saturday, March 14, 2020 — Color Interaction – Playing with Solids

Do you love working with solids, or are you afraid of them? Do you have your favorite colors, but don’t really know how to expand beyond those? Or are you just curious about how to take a basic color palette and make it dance?

Tara Faughnan is a master of color! She loves using many colors at once, repeating them in seemingly endless combinations.

In Tara’s words …

Playing with color is one of the most rewarding aspects of quiltmaking. It can be fun, intuitive, challenging and at times frustrating. In this six-hour class we will explore how colors play off one another, delve into the importance of value, and learn tips for when you get stuck. Students will start with a variety of quick exercises, and move on to small color studies that can be combined into a larger quilt.

Sunday, March 15, 2020 — Handwork Sampler – Hand Piecing and Hand Quilting

Get two for the price of one in this combination class that will teach you both Hand Piecing and Hand Quilting. Hand piecing offers a relaxing alternative when you’re away from your machine, and big stitch hand quilting (perfection not required!) is a great way to add dimension and a homemade touch to your quilts.

In Tara’s words …

In this class we will cover the basics of hand piecing and move on to an introduction to hand quilting. Instruction will include creating templates and marking fabric for sewing, as well as how to incorporate hand quilting to add depth and interest to your quilts.

10:00 am – 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break

You’ll be able to sign up for either workshop, or both, using the same link. If the workshop you want is full, be sure to add yourself to our Waitlist.
Your PayPal receipt is your proof of having registered. So look for it right after you’ve completed your registration. If you don’t have a receipt, you may not have completed the registration process.

Refunds

The Simple Rule: Sorry, once you’ve signed up and paid, we won’t be offering any refunds.
The Possible Exception: IF you cancel on or before February 28th AND we can find a replacement from our waitlist, we’ll consider refunding your payment less $15. Please understand that there are no promises on this.
