Quilters Dream Batting has started the Hopes and Dreams Challenge for ALS and is seeking quilt donations. Quilts will either be hand delivered to ALS patients across the US or sold with 100% of the money going directly towards ALS research in hopes to find a cure. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, currently has no cure or treatment and leaves patients paralyzed and unable to breathe or talk, while being fully cognitive and feeling pain. If anyone would like to donate additional quilts please see additional information here.
Hopefully, these two quilts made by members of the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild can help in some way.

This quilt was the second quilt I was able to make from your colorful feather blocks. These blocks were from the Feather Bed Quilt pattern by Anna Maria Horner. I added affirmational lyrics from a Christina Aguilera song with pieced letters from the My First Alphabet pattern by From Blank Pages. The cool fishnet quilting was done by Pam Cole and the colorful binding was completed by Amy Steed.

This cheery bubble gum pink quilt was inspired by bothe the Fractured quilt by Kathy Doughty and the Rail Fence quilt in Sujata Shaw’s book. Rachel Singh assembled. Quilting and binding done by Chelsey Weber.
Keep up the great participation with giving quilt blocks!
Wonderful finishes, thank you to everyone who contributed to these beautiful giving quilts! May they bring sunshine into the lives of their recipients.
Congratulations on two more beautiful finishes by the Seattle MQG! They are sure to bring smiles to their recipients.
