The blocks made by Seattle MQG members as part of the Color Inspiration Challenge earlier this year are now a finished quilt!

Seattle MQG members were encouraged to explore color stories and color combinations using a formula and block design as part of a color inspiration challenge

Those challenge blocks were set in a fun layout inspired by the Tumbling Blocks quilt by Ernest B. Haight. The great setting fabrics were generously donated to the Seattle MQG by a member destashing their fabric collection.

The blocks still needed something to help them come together so some square on point sashing was added in red fabrics and a solid red border was also added to frame the sashed blocks.

Quilting in a cathedral window motif with red thread really helped pull it all together even more (great choice Pam!)
