Seattle MQG Members: join us December 5, 2020, 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm Pacific Time and celebrate with a virtual holiday party and all-guild sew-in via Zoom! There will be games, activities, time to sew together, and prizes! Your hosts, Alexandra Immel and Jana Royal, have been working hard to make this a fun event for everyone… thank you, Alexandra and Jana!
Invites were emailed to Seattle MQG members on Nov. 23rd: if you didn’t see it in your inbox, check your junk mail folder. The subject line was: Here’s your invite to our Virtual Holiday Party via Zoom!
HOLIDAY PARTY ACTIVITIES
All Guild Sew-In: Have a project on hand to work on between activities. We’ll use the breakout rooms for small group socializing.
Secret Swappers: If you participated in the secret swap, unwrap your item that afternoon and be ready to share it on screen between 2:00 and 3:00 during the holiday party. We all want to see what you received, and give kudos to the makers! Let’s take photos of the gifts and post them to IG using the hashtag #SeaMQGSecretSwap2020 — be sure to tag the maker. Thank you, Megan Vanderburg and Jackie Benedetti for organizing this fun swap!
Sew and Tell: We’ll save some time at the end of the party for sew and tell, so be sure to email photos and stories of your finishes to seattlemodernquiltguild@gmail.com by 6:00 pm, Thursday Dec. 3rd to be included in the slideshow. You can also post to IG using the hashtag #SeattleMQGDecemberMeeting to tag your December photos. (In 2021, we are changing up our hashtag style to be year-specific: in January, use the hashtag: #SeattleMQGJanuary21 — we’ll change the month and year as needed going forward. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you of this change in future blog posts.)
Hope to see you there, what a fun way to wrap up 2020! It’s been a doozy, but our guild members have come together in spite of the challenges. Let’s celebrate our tenacity, love of quilting, and community.
TIME TO RENEW!
