The first video contains the guild business portions of the meeting, including an update on program and workshop plans for 2021, an introduction to Month 6 of the Salsa Medallion BOM and some beautiful quilt eye candy in Sew and Tell.
Our speaker this month was Jenny Haynes (@pappersaxsten). Jenny’s lecture was recorded and is available to watch until Aug 6. Jenny gives shape to curvy quilts and her talk took us through her growth as a crafter, creator and designer. She showed us how her understanding of both the design and construction of quilts using a drunkard’s path block evolved over time and how she uses experimentation to open up new ways of viewing and creating with this “simple” curve.
