October Recording Part 1: Intro

October Recording Part 2: Speaker

October Recording Part 3: Guild Business

The video covers the entire meeting, including our speaker, an update on program and workshop plans for 2021/2022, an introduction to Month 9 of the Salsa Medallion BOM and some beautiful quilt eye candy in Sew and Tell.

We divided our October meeting into three videos. Part 1 is our welcome and introductions. Part 2 features Rachaeldaisy Dodd, our guest speaker talking to us from Australia. Part 3 includes the what’s happening both within our guild and in our community, an introduction to Month 10 the Salsa Medallion BOM, an update on our Giving Quilts, and finally concludes with some beautiful quilts from our members.

Our speaker was Rachaeldaisy Dodd, who lives in the Blue Mountains, an hour west of Sydney, Australia. She “has become synonymous with bold, colourful, eye-popping quilts.” (https://bluemountaindaisy.blogspot.com)

Rachaeldaisy’s talk was recorded and is available until November 13th. She spoke for over an hour and 20 minutes, and we could have listened to so much more. She shows some beautiful quilts, and fun stories about her experience as a florist turned quilter.

The Giving Quilt committee is still looking for volunteers to quilt some tops. Contact Jana Royal or Rachel Singh. Materials (backing and batting) are provided, and you provide the creative skill.
