Group brunch 10:30 am – There are a few places we are suggesting as it can be very difficult to get a spot for a huge number of people. But we would encourage you to meet in the lobby to go to one or two of these as a group to continue the camaraderie and fun.
- Specialties Cafe at University Village – quick(ish), easy, casual, and you can order separately and eat outside.
- Portage Bay Cafe – delicious but very popular, better for smaller group
- Wayward Vegan Cafe – great reviews online
- Sunflour – a delicious bakery and cafe
- Franks’s – Oysters and other fancy brunch items
- Chaco Canyon – Vegetarian and organic and yummy
12:30 – 2:00 pm – Freezer Paper Piecing demo with Allison Dutton of Seattle MQG, held at Quilting Mayhem in Snohomish UPDATE: Directions for freezer paper piecing can be found here on Allison’s blog

Hey , just wondering what your chosen charety is?
Hi, Bonnie – the recipient (or recipients) are still being worked out and we’ll get the info out as soon as we can
Hello, I was wondering if we came up for the day for the Sew In, is there plenty of space or is it going to be pretty tight? Thank you!
There will be room but not oodles of it. This is the time to bring one small project, not a queen size quilt to baste or FMQ. Thanks for asking. Looking forward to meeting you

do we need to bring plates and cutlery for the pot luck or will they be provided?….just thinking about packing
Hi, Bonnie – great question! Seattle MQG is providing plates, flatware, napkins, etc.
Where is the list of the shops involved in the ShopHop?
Thx
Hi, Cohni – There is a list (along with the discounts) and a map in the program you will receive when you register and get your swag bag. Otherwise, you will find a map on https://seattlemodernquiltguild.com/pnw-mqg-meetup/shop-hop/.
Registration starts at 10:00 AM Friday at Silver Cloud Inn so you have plenty of time to register and then to get shopping! See you this weekend!
The list of shops has been added to the shop hop page. The discounts can only be found in the program which you get at registration. Happy shopping!
