Can you believe we’ve shown quilts at Folklife for five years already?!  This is the official call for quilts to show in our sixth annual Seattle Modern Quilt Guild display during the 2018 Northwest Folklife Festival.  Our quilts will hang in the Cornish Playhouse Courtyard from May 25-28 (Memorial Day Weekend) at the Seattle Center.

We typically display around 20 quilts each year.  Help us grow our show and submit your quilt by filling out the entry form.  You may enter multiple quilts (one per form), but please limit to 3 per person.  There are no size restrictions, but all quilts require a hanging sleeve and a label with your name on it.  Both can be temporary, but must be firmly attached with safety pins.  We will collect the quilts at the May 9 general meeting and return them at the June 13 meeting.

For those of you that participated in the 2017 block of the month or Season’s minimal design class, we would love to do special groupings of those quilts.  Please consider submitting them so we can show how one assignment can yield a wide range of quilts.

Don’t forget to volunteer to help with the show!  We need 6-8 volunteers to help set up on Thursday, May 24th and take down on Monday, May 28th.  You are welcome to volunteer even if you don’t submit a quilt.  Just follow the instructions on the entry form.  Other volunteer opportunities are listed at the end of the form.
